·         In an ideal world, how do you think education should be organized?
In an ideal world education should be organized in different aspects where the most important part should be working on training students how to be human beings since it is the most important aspect that schools are leaving apart. I consider that if schools work more on this aspect and coexistence our world would be better. Also, they can work on improving students´ skills to make them more creative, independent and free to take their own decisions.
·          Who should be responsible for ensuring that it is of a good quality?

I think that everybody involved in the student process has to be responsible for the good quality of this process because this is a team work where everybody has to talk the same language to get the expected results. For this reason, parents, schools and government have to keep in touch and check this it periodically to see how this new process is going. Another important key should be the facilities where students and teachers interact each other because both of them should have all the materials they need to work, a nice and comfortable environment where both feel good at too.

  • How has your experience of school shaped you as a learner, and as an adult?
I have to say that my experience at school was great, I had great teachers who worried about my learning process and my needs as a student. Having said this, it made me be an organized, creative and hardworking. This helped me a lot during the student life since what I learnt at school was the bases to be what I am nowadays and become better through the years.

  • In what ways do you think your own schooling could have been improved? 
I think that my schooling could have been improved by working more on my social skills and coexisting with others since I get out of school and I was older and things were totally different for example university where I met different people with different ideas, cultures and personalities. It was another moment for me to learn and be better as a person.
  
  •  What priorities do you think are the most important for schools today?
I think that educate citizen with values is one key since it will teach students how to be better human beings. Another important key can be to work on the coexistence which is kind of related as a I said before because it makes to respect, support, help and understand other people.

What makes a good teacher?

This question is kind of complicated to answer for some people but what makes a good teacher is a combination of many things which make him/her an unforgettable one. I think that one of the things to be a good teacher is to care about your students and their learning styles, if you do so you will make their learning process easier and much more fun. Caring is one of the qualities that showed up in many of the discussion forum demonstrating that caring is a key strategy or way that good teachers use to do so, since your students realize you are worried about them not only in their learning process but in their lifes as well and one example of this can be seen at the movie freedom writers where the teacher did not give up on her students even though they gave her a hard time at the begging of the school year. So, I can say that caring for your students demonstrate you put your heart and  soul in what you are doing.  Also, it displays you are passionate about your role as a guidance in the syllabus you teach and in your students´ lifes making and all of this makes a big and unforgettable mark on your students for the rest of their lifes.

Do you consider yourself to be a "learner"? why? 

I consider myself a learner because I always put a lot of effort in what I want to learn even though I have sometimes faced many problems during my learning process. I think that the difficulties I faced is what make me keep going since the more effort you put in something the reward is going to be bigger.   

Also, I could say I am a learner because I am always looking for new things to learn to give the best of me not only for me but also for my students who deserve somebody well prepared and eager to keeping achieving new goals. 

Moreover, a learner never stops learning because every day comes out news things that force me to countinue learning. As the challenges I have to face becasue of the virus covid-19. This virus has made me as a teacher look for new ways, tools and ideas to teach my students since not all of them count with the same benefits.

To conclude, I could say that those are some of the reasons I consider myself a learner and no matter what my age is learning is something that never stops.

LEARNING ABOUT THE COURSE


So far from this course I have changed my mind about the meaning of different concepts I have already learnt in my previous courses. Having saying this, I could say that I would be able to get more knowledge from the different points of view that my partners post and refresh the one I had. 

Apart from this, I can say that learning has become something totally differnt those days since everything has changed through the years and because of the pandemy we are going through and this is taking us to another level of eduacation. Education is a challenge this day not only for schools, teachers but for students as well since nobody is used to working online. Moreover, not all students have all the tools they need to be educated at home and this is a reality teachers, schools and the goverment are facing.  This will make the government, schools and teachers change the way they are leading learning and education this days since most people thought education will be more technological but what we are experiencing is telling us something totally different. Education needs to be more sociable, learn how to treat people by their culture and learn from that and be open minded.

 Sharing information about different urban tribes which can be found in my city in an oral and written way.

Challenging questions: 

Throughout these years,  many things have changed and evolved: one example of this is the way young people dress, talk and behave. All this is part of something called "culture" which can be defined as the group of features and characteritics that represent a society in the world.
What effects have caused in young people the different changes in the society?

Learning situation: 

 Have you seen the way some young people dress recently?
                                          Why do they dress in this way?
                                          What do they want to express with it?
                                          How are they called?


ACTIVITIES
1) Visit the links below and learn about the different urban tribes and their characteristics. It will help you understand those types of cultures and make your own concept of them and post it.






2) Students are asked to get in trios and choose one of the urban tribes studied in class and bring clothes that represent it for the next class. Later, the students have 15 minutes to get into the groups and get dressed with the clothes they brought. After that, each group has 10 minutes to describe their clothing style, the urban tribe they represent and mention the most remarkable aspects about it.
















3) In the groups already formed, students are going to perform a role play based on the TV program called “The Suso’s show” and the topic of the show is going to be urban tribes. 
For this activity, students are asked to design 10 questions and the answers that they are going to give while performing the role play. One student is going to be the host (Suso) and the other two are going to be the special guests of the show. Before presenting the activity, students have to show the questions and the answer to the teacher for him/her to correct them if necessary.
